Yanzhe Chen (陈彦哲)
Biography
I am a second-year master’s student, set to graduate in the summer of 2025, from Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies (AAIS), Peking University.
I am very fortunate to be advised by Prof. Yuxin Peng of MIPL Lab from Wangxuan Institute of Computer Technology, Peking University.
My current research mainly focuses on multi-modal representation and generation, particularly video-to-image retrieval, multi-modal fusion retrieval, and virtual try-on generation. These works have been published in AAAI’24, ACM MM’23, and TOMM’24, with a paper currently under review at NeurIPS’24.
During my Ph.D., my research interests include video understanding, multi-modal, and AIGC. I am particularly interested in exploring efficient modality aggregation, optimized model architectures, and close integration with real-world scenarios, which I believe are essential technological foundations for a universal AI assistant.

Undertaking independently a collaborative project with Kuaishou Technology, focusing on fine-grained product retrieval in short videos, applied within Kuaishou app’s search/recommendation scenarios , significantly boosting Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV).
